PROJECT ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning execution and monitoring of upstream oil & gas projects from initiation to completion ensuring adherence to project scope schedule and budget constraints.
• Technical Coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams contractors and vendors to ensure that project deliverables meet technical specifications industry standards and client requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project execution and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures identify variances from budgeted amounts and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure that projects are completed within approved budgets.
• Schedule Management: Develop project schedules establish milestones and track progress against key project milestones to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed established quality standards and client expectations.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with applicable health safety environmental and regulatory requirements and implement measures to promote a safe working environment for all project personnel.
• Client Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders providing regular project updates addressing concerns or issues and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Change Management: Manage project changes scope revisions and deviations from initial project plans ensuring that changes are properly documented assessed for impact and approved by the appropriate stakeholders.
• Lessons Learned: Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of projects to identify areas for improvement and best practices to be applied to future projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Civil Chemical Petroleum) or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project engineering or project management preferably in the upstream oil & gas industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of upstream oil & gas operations including exploration drilling production and processing.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera P6) and familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK Agile).
