What will be your key responsibilities?
- The Scheduler/Planner works closely with the Reliability Lead to ensure the operations areas receive prompt, efficient and quality service from the Reliability Department.
- The Scheduler/Planner receives all work notifications/orders from the requesting associates, except for unplanned (breakdown) work. Unplanned work is requested of the appropriate on-shift maintenance technician and is entered into SAP PM as a work order to be initiated on shift.
- The Scheduler/Planner reviews and assures work orders are properly filled out, including; clarity of work scope, priority and requested completion dates are realistic, practical lead-time provided, charge numbers and coding are complete and accurate, number of resources and hours required are clearly defined to complete the work, all parts have been identified and POs issued, and contacts the originator of the work order if more information is needed
- Assures that work requested is needed. If the business value of the request is questioned and not readily resolved, the work order will be reviewed with operations and the reliability manager. This includes generating rough cost estimates and potential cost saving estimates.
