As our Metals Trader you will:
- Precious Metal Spot, forwards, swaps, and leases trading. Quoting in XAU, XAG, XPD, XPT and XRH in various currencies to facilitate franchise business
- Effectively maintain various risk positions and manage position limits, providing liquidity to clients and markets to maximize total revenue of trading profit plus commission
- Inventory Management & funding of the lease portfolio
- Trade directional risk and DV01 risk related to the metals within mandated risk limit
- Communication with sales desk and assists in resolving any settlement problems, ensures ticket entry completion and provides general trade support, as necessary
- Provide market analysis and comments related to the metals market and technical analysis specific for each country using market intelligence tools and know how related to each of the products
- Ensures all trades are booked to front office position keeping system on the day they are executed correctly with the associated lifecycle management
- Maintain high standards for accountability and global standards, particularly with regards to Financial Crime Compliance
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range $250,000.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in precious metals
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial products and experience in dealing with corporate and/or institutional clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Ability to connect with and develop relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across both corporate and institutional client space and diverse geographies
- Multilingual skill would be an advantage (Spanish would be an advantage)
