Fitter

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and install machinery and equipment
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and installation
• Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical components and systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and implement appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Provide training and guidance to junior fitters and apprentices as needed
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
