Job Description
- Manage and maintain the hotel's computer networks, including wired and wireless networks, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Provide technical support for all hardware and software used within the hotel, including computers, printers, POS systems, property management systems (PMS), point of sale systems, and other specialized hotel applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by hotel staff or guests in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the hotel's IT infrastructure from cyber threats, including malware, viruses, and unauthorized access.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data breaches.
- Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software, including researching vendors, obtaining quotes, and ensuring that purchases align with the hotel's budget and technology requirements.
- Provide training and technical guidance to hotel staff on the proper use of IT systems and software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory of all IT assets, configurations, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and future upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to IT security, data privacy, and technology usage within the hospitality industry.
- Stay updated on advancements in information technology and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve guest experiences, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in IT support, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux), hardware troubleshooting, and software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) is a plus.
