We are looking for an Estimator to join our client’s team of experts, who specialise in high-end customer residential developments and builds, throughout New South Wales, from their office based in the Central Coast. About the Role
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing architectural plans, engineering drawings and proejct specifications to understand the requirements of a project and the scope of work. You will need proven experience in Estimation and Residential Construction, as the role you play is pivotal in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates and budgetary guidance for our custom home projects and luxury residential developments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and accurately estimate material quantities and costs for residential construction projects, including high-end finishes and luxury features.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing for materials, labour, and services.
• Analyse market trends and pricing fluctuations to ensure cost estimates are based on current market conditions.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns and comprehensive project budgets for client review and approval.
• Assist in value engineering initiatives to optimise costs without compromising quality or design integrity.
• Provide ongoing support to project managers and construction teams by tracking actual costs against estimated budgets and identifying areas for cost savings.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, concerns, and changes to project specifications.
• Remain up to date in the latest industry developments, new materials, and construction techniques to continuously improve estimating practices.

What you will bring to the role:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the Residential Construction industry, preferably with a focus on custom homes or luxury developments.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact professionally with clients.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
