Staff Nurse - Pediatric LTVU Long Term Ventilator Unit

Our client a leading semigovernment hospital is currently looking for Staff Nurses specialized in Pediatric patients to be based in Dubai. In this role your responsibilities would include but not limited to:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the LTVU including monitoring vital signs administering medications and conducting assessments.
  
• Implement and maintain a plan of care tailored to each patients individual needs with a focus on optimizing respiratory function and overall health.
  
• Monitor and manage ventilator settings tracheostomy care and other respiratory interventions as per physician orders and established protocols.
  
• Perform regular assessments of patients respiratory status including ventilator weaning protocols and readiness assessments.
  
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients families providing education and support regarding their childs condition treatment plan and home care requirements.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds case conferences and care planning meetings to contribute to the overall management of patients in the LTVU.
  
• Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of patient assessments interventions and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
  
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols safety regulations and quality improvement initiatives within the LTVU.
  
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  
• Stay abreast of current trends research and best practices in pediatric nursing and respiratory care participating in continuing education and professional development activities as appropriate.
  
• Actively engage in performance improvement initiatives contributing ideas and feedback to enhance the quality of care provided in the LTVU.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  
• With DHA Registered Nurse license/eligibility.
  
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric nursing with specific experience in caring for patients requiring longterm ventilator support.
  
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patientcentered approach to care.
  
• Willing to work 48 hours per week.
  
• Willing to be based in Dubai UAE.
