Financial Compliance continues to be a key requirement within all areas of Financial Services. The need for strict adherence to FCA and PRA rules and regulations requires an experienced, and detailed Compliance Manager to keep abreast of current and ongoing legislative changes.
Cybercrime, Financial Fraud, Sanctions, and white-collar criminality is on the rise and maintenance and due diligence in the areas of Banking Compliance is a must.
Banks are more virulent than ever to detect and avoid these fraudulent issues.
This position as a senior figurehead in the compliance department will offer ongoing challenges and keep you at the forefront of developments and changes in the industry.
You will take a senior role within the team to ensure the bank complies with all the regulations, with an emphasis on the legal aspects required and ever-changing FCA and PRA rules.
Duties:
- Follow the compliance monitoring processes and plans for daily reviews.
- Track actions to be raised and suggest improvements.
- Produce reports to show areas for development.
- Ongoing monitoring of areas such as MiFID, EMIR PRA, and FCA books
- Spot Market Abuse and stay on top of SMCR/Conduct, Deposit Protection/SCV, CASS
- Review operational procedures and improve manuals and processes.
- Look at the Compliance plans and check on performance and coverage.
- Advise the business Units on requirements and changes these can be in many departments, including Corporate Banking, Client Services, Treasury, Loans
- Continual legal risk framework maintenance and Gap Assessment
- Full Compliance Advisory responses and provide appropriate advice.
- Ongoing Horizon Scanning for new regulatory developments.
Requirements
Candidate requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years Compliance Management within a banking institution or a UK Regulator or Consultancy firm
- Strategic knowledge with an adaptation to change.
- In-depth knowledge of PRA and FCA requirements and regulatory control
- Maybe, you will be working or will have worked at an External Regulatory Body and want to move to an end-user client.
- Understand areas such as Payment PSD2, Market abuse, look back of transactions, SCV File enhancements.
- This is a permanent job.
