Company Summary:

CNE provides comprehensive IT asset management services for organizations and corporations. In this business line, we provide value-added services including logistics management, equipment refurbishment, data erasure, product re-marketing, sales, revenue sharing and reporting for our clients. We are headquartered in Boston, MA with business operations around the world, including Asia, India, Europe, and Latin America.

CNE Direct, Inc. is also engaged in the business of wholesale distribution of technology equipment including computers, computer components and peripherals, networking and telecommunications hardware and other electronic products. We obtain supply on consignment and through direct purchase from end users, large manufacturers (OEM’s) and distributers who find themselves with excess inventory. We re-sell those products to end users, other OEM’s, distributers, resellers, and brokers worldwide.

Position Summary: This role has responsibility for ensuring that CNE operations requirements are met, appropriate staffing levels are maintained, employee relations are good, and a safe/clean work environment is maintained at all CNE NL sites. An Operations Manager plans, directs, coordinates and controls operational activities in assigned work area to achieve established management goals. This role liaises with the HR team on employee personnel matters such recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaise with Human Resources at CNE headquarters for recruiting, onboarding, employee reviews, and training programs.
  • Maintain a safe workplace that meets all government defined and certification defined standards.
  • Achieve warehouse operational and production objectives by implementing strategic plans, identifying, and resolving problems, measuring, and auditing quality standards, and identifying trends.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control systems.
  • Accomplish department objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, disciplining full time/temporary employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Enforce and maintain both CNE and client defined security protocols.
  • Ensure all requirements for certification are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact with property managers and facility owners.
  • Participate in tours and audits.
  • Address non-conformance using the Corrective Action Process.
  • Approve employee timecards for payroll.
  • Procure supplies needed for the facility.
  • Travel as needed between NL facilities.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Warehouse Manager, Project Manager or Operations Manager role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing shipping and receiving operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience driving efficiencies across multiple operational teams.
  • Strong leadership, training and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent planning skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skills in MS Office.
  • Strong Communication Skills - both oral and written.
  • Ability to interact with and provide information to Management and Executive Management on a regular basis.

Abilities Required:

  • Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to lifting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to lift 55-pound boxes.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with dust exposure and fluctuating temperatures.
