CAD support engineer (To support Reverse engineering & Product development)

Job description

CAD support to engineering team forproduct development and reverse engineering of automotive product.

• Create class A surface from sketch or image files or scale model using CAD software.
  
• To generate the surface data/3D model from vehicle scan data STL files Cloud points data physical part etc
  
• Generate Organic surface . (Such as vehicle exterior and interior surfaces) by using reverse engineering CAD tool.
  
• Surface modelling 3D modelling and Bside surface modelling.
  
• Preparation of engineering drawings for the projects to include preliminary design calculations GD&T and manufacturing feasibility.
  
• Create the assembly data and make the animation for layout study.
  
• FEA analysis for stress and thermal.
  
• Preparation of engineering drawings for the projects to include preliminary design calculations GD&T and manufacturing feasibility.
  

Roles & Responsibilities:

At the Role of CAD/CAE engineer responsible for

Detailed input study for the allocated components

Work on the CAD software for the creation of 3D/2D models

FEA analysis for stress and thermal.

Document preparation for engineering report analysist result BOM list etc..

Selfestimation for the allocated component

Estimate the CAD operation time and deliver the output on promised time.

Support team members on CAD operation 3D scanning Technical etc..

Selfquality check and Checklist completion

Entry of worksheet day to day

Required Skillset and Area of Experience:

Must have Automobile background as CAD engineer.

Expertise in Surface and Sheet metal and 3D Modelling using CAD software.

Expertise in Reverse engineering surface modelling (organic surface modelling) from Scan data STL files Cloud points data etc

More exposure in CAD/CAE Surface modelling/3D modelling.

Expertise in use of laser scanners or computer tomography (CT) scanners to capture data.

Knowledge of product development and and product life cycle management.

Preference would be given to those who have worked in multiple disciplinary & Reverse engineering projects esp. from OEM / Tier 1

More exposure in CAD/CAE and Automotive exterior and interior part s 3Ddata creation

Design knowledge of the Automotive components in the area of experience.

Material knowledge & Manufacturing process knowledge (especially in the Automotive area)

Should have good technical knowledge on automotive systems & excellent communication skills

Should possess Proactive communication & problemsolving capability based on detailed analysis

Good communication and collaboration skills
