Design Director

We are currently looking for a high-profile Design Director for a leading architectural consultancy in Dubai, who are working on complex parametric complexes as seen by the likes of Zaha Hadid, Gensler, Foster+Partners, SOM, KPF, Henning Larsen, BIG, MVRDV, Herzog, Perkins&Will, OMA, etc.

You will be responsible for a team of up to 40 architects in the preparation of exceptional pre-concept designs for various complex parametic, mixed-use projects throughout UAE/GCC region.

The selected candidate should exhibit a thorough understanding of complex structures and how to develop world-class design development strategies. As such, you should still have a hand in the initial design sketches/very early concept stages and previous experience in rolling out your vision to your design team via weekly team meetings.

Were looking for individuals who can present original, forward thinking designs of their own, liaise with the consultants, sub-consultants and manage the client throughout the entire design process through to handover.
