Communications Executive

Responsibilities

External Communications:
• Support on all external communications that are related to the company's reputation, new product/service launches, price changes, policy changes, partnerships, sales, growth
• Prepare briefs for interviews (from any company personnel) that are sent out to the press (print, digital, broadcast, social media)
• Coordinating on all news/press releases to the media (print, digital, broadcast, social media, podcast, TV) in the GCC.
• Supporting the Communications Manager with angles for pitching news stories/interviews/industry pieces to print, digital, broadcast, and social media reporters/editors to get further traction.
• Assisting with profiling of leadership including Op-EDs, exclusive and strategic interviews.

Crisis Management:
• Support with crisis Management in case of any news outbreak on any media (print, digital, broadcast).
• Identifying potential threats to Careem and its stakeholders by using personal connections before it is out on the media in order to mount an effective response to it.
• Helping Community Management align the communications for any crisis that is out on social media to ensure uniformity of messages.
• Supporting comms strategy development to tackle sticky media situations in cases such as layoffs, shortage of Captains, etc.

Internal Communications:
• Monitoring media coverage, compiling and preparing weekly coverage reports.
• Liaising with internal communications team for key coverage across GCC market.

Profile building of leadership:
• Supporting with briefing docs for speaking opportunities with key leadership roles in different verticals.
• Identifying strategic interviews in selected publications/SM pages to highlight the role of leadership and portray Careem as an industry leader with the best talent.
• Get our leadership in the same events/get-togethers with media, key stakeholders, government personnel, and other CEOs to build on their profiles.
• Support with opinion pieces by leadership in top publications.
