- Responsible for diagnosing & carrying out repairs and service to outboard & inboard engines.
- Service & repair of Marine generator.
- Troubleshoot engine, electrical problems replace shaft, cutlass bearing & propellers.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in the boat.
- Determine the boat condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying worn & damaged parts.
- Corrects vessel deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts or systems, such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Carry out inspection of vessel to assess whether they are seaworthy and whether any machinery onboard is safe for usage.
- Complies vessel requirements by testing engine, safety, & combustion control standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as engine mechanic.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical & electronic components.
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
- Min 5years work experience in marine/shipbuilding industries
- Diploma/ITI in fitter/mechanical/industrial/instrumentation
