About AFG College with the University of Aberdeen

AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is a new higher education partnership forged in 2017. The partnership has created the first UK University offering mainstream degrees in the State of Qatar outside of Qatar Foundation. The University welcomed its first undergraduate students in September 2 017. With over 525 years of history, the ‘ancient’ University of Aberdeen is among the world’s leading educational institutions and is consistently ranked among the top 200 universities in the world and in 2019 was awarded Scottish University of the Year. The University of Aberdeen is committed to developing a growing and experienced full-time faculty to support its first dedicated overseas campus. Currently there are over 590 students studying at our Qatar campus. To accommodate the growth in our student numbers a new branch campus is due to be opened in September 2022. This new campus will allow for further expansion in student numbers, degree offerings and research
