About us Nawah Energy Company is the operator of the UAE’s peaceful & civil nuclear program. Nawah Energy Company is mandated to safely operate and maintain Units 1 to 4 in Barakah in adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality and security, and to the UAE’s commitment of operational transparency. Nawah Energy Company was incorporated as a subsidiary of Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) in 2016 as a result of the Joint Venture Agreement between ENEC and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). Nawah Energy Company is a Private Joint Stock Company (PJSC) with 82% ownership by ENEC 18% ownership by KEPCO.
