Accountabilities: Strategic • As a member of the QDFC’s Executive Management Team, participate in developing and refining the vision and strategy for QDFC and contribute to the management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organisation achieves its short-, medium- and long-term goals • Formulate the Brand Strategy of QDFC to establish it as the premium Airport Retail & F&B Operator globally • Create Public Relations strategy that will allow QDFC’s leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted media, key influencers and stakeholders, in order to enhance the organisation’s brand reputation, customer engagement and image on a global basis • Oversee the development of QDFC’s corporate communications strategy through traditional and digital media, including QDFC’s social media channels, website, local and international media to ensure accurate and timely messaging is being distributed through the correct channels • Lead on the development of appropriate corporate advertising campaigns and marketing strategies to provide the maximum brand exposure and impact across all media platforms that are best suited for travel retailers • Overseeing the planning and execution of QDFC’s participation in local and international events and conferences ensuring co-sponsorships and partnerships where possible • Initiate and implement jointly co-branding and co-marketing activities with QDFC’s key suppliers and partners • Develop short and long-term budgets for marketing, events and corporate communication projects and monitor progress to ensure adherence to approved procurement guidelines with evaluated performance • Accountable for the implementation and route development strategy of QDFC marketing that will allow the airport to attract new brands and suppliers • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing and communications programme alongside evaluating materials, production and marketing collaterals. Operational • Oversee brand marketing plans to ensure the Return on Investment (ROI) is delivered, and that the respective budgets are utilised cost-effectively • Responsible for the successful deployment of QDFC’s marketing and corporate communication activities • Provide clear line of sight to SVP QDFC on department performance and the company’s positioning among its duty travel competitors • Provide executive leadership, guidance and performance objectives of QDFC marketing and communications activities locally and worldwide; monitor its execution through a set of KPIs • Optimize marketing budgets through strategic planning of both market targets and expenditure, leveraging of existing partnerships and creating new ones • Oversee development of all QDFC’s communication including for all print, digital and marketing collateral materials for the company’s website and new media • Manage relationships with associated vendors • Overseeing the development of QDFC marketing products (giveaways, post materials etc.) for use in global marketing and advertising campaigns • Perform other department duties related to the VP position as directed by SVP QDFC.
