We are seeking experienced and reliable Long Haul Truck Drivers to join a Trucking company in Canada. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from various locations in Canada. Successful candidates must be willing and able to complete a transfer from the UAE to Canada. This includes meeting the requirements for a temporary residence permit, work permit, and employer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive long-haul trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances
- Plan routes, calculate distances and travel times, and ensure that cargo is secured properly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and cargo
- Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain records of hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Adhere to all safety regulations and transportation laws
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 (High School) education or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Police clearance certificate
- IELTS English Language - 5 Bands
- Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
- Valid UAE driving license and commercial drivers license (must be able to convert to Canadian G and Z license)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be willing to be away from home for extended periods of time
