Job Summary
Must Have Steel Industry Experience
Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)
Diploma in Engineering or Engineering
Any preferred professional training
Trained on Elect. & Auto. Systems pertaining to Steel Melting and Billet casting plant
Professional Experience (Must haves)
- 5 years (for Diploma holder) or 8 years (for Trade Certificate holder) in Electrical maintenance in steel plant preferably in Steel Melting and Billet casting plant with higher level of automation.
Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations
- Working experience in any of the Middle-east countries (familiar with rules and regulations climatic conditions)
- Health & Safety compliance systems experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work Planning: Works to Safety Rules and regulations electrical maintenance work inspection reports & work orders .Follows job risk assessment and job work procedures. With Superior Uses condition monitoring techniques as a basis for prevention of failure and diagnoses complex equipment failures.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analysis of previous day & shift activities with Supervisor so that action plans specific to skills can be developed to address line stoppage and fault analysis issues and hence improve maintenance service to internal customers.
- Team supervision: Guide monitor and assists train new team members so that the employees have the appropriate skills and behaviors required to deliver required levels of service to internal customers.
- Problem Solving: Personally provide technical input to the resolution of major maintenance problems so that line down time is minimized and direct reports are accurate for technical understanding.
- Spare parts management: Assist Supervisor in ensuring proper spare parts management.
- Production Liaison: Meet with production personnel on a daily basis to discuss and finalize machine shut down schedules and obtain feedback on historical standards of service provision.
