Senior Pharmacist – Hospital Clinical Pharmacy
Job Summary
A leading healthcare organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacist to join its pharmacy and clinical care services.
The successful candidate will contribute to the safe and effective use of medications provide pharmaceutical support to patients and healthcare professionals and participate in medication-safety and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Provide professional pharmaceutical services in accordance with established standards.
- Review and validate medication orders and prescriptions.
- Assess medication appropriateness dosing and potential interactions.
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding medication management.
- Monitor medication safety and identify potential adverse drug reactions.
- Support medication reconciliation and safe transitions of care.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy and medication-related documentation.
- Ensure appropriate storage handling and dispensing of medications.
- Participate in medication-use evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Assist with training and supervision of junior pharmacy staff.
- Participate in clinical audits and medication-safety programs.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and professional standards.
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (BPharm/PharmD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Valid professional pharmacy registration/license.
- Relevant hospital or clinical pharmacy experience.
- Senior-level experience in a healthcare/pharmacy environment.
- Strong knowledge of medication safety and pharmaceutical care.
- Good clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Candidates must meet the applicable DHA professional classification and registration requirements.
