Our client in the Steel industry is seeking expertise of a Media and Relations Officer to join their operations in Qatar. The position demands for having a sound knowledge in maintaining the positive image of a company, or, organization, internally and externally. The position in its individual capacity must execute PR & Communications projects in a defined way to achieve the goal and achieve the target. The purpose of this role is to coordinate and deliver resources and processes in support of media and communication in line with brand guidelines and business objectives. Minimum Requirements • University graduate or masters with proficient knowledge in media and communications. • 7-8 years of experience in similar role. • Must understand the business goal, Mission, Vision and Values and be conducive to present and maintain brand image internally and externally within the stakeholders. • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment. Key Responsibilities • Co-ordination with media houses/editors to facilitate in publishing advertisement and press release on specified date and on specified pages (or sections). • Development of contents for print and social media to enhance visibility and dispersion of messages consistently to maintain the brand image; developing contents for press is important. • Upgrade contents for SM and website from time to time • To participate in all events organised locally and internationally. • Achieve space booking in strategic location, mobilise stand design using external design agencies and ensure desirable standards in design, branding and media coverage. • To draft, review and update the PR&C Policy and Procedures before its expiry. • To continuously look for the opportunities to enhance the brand image through the process of branding and its application in various areas like, vehicle, events, gifts, stationery, print and digital media, social media, office PC’s, telephone screens, and in wayfinding signage.
