Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage all relevant documents and standards within the Material Department CTO
- Attend meetings with clients consultants contractors and other departments
- Interact and coordinate with specialist stakeholders across the project lifecycle
- Implement ISO ASTM and other relevant standards for material testing and compliance
- Analyse test results and prepare technical reports
- Investigate new materials and technologies to improve project efficiency and sustainability
- Develop prototypes and conduct failure analysis to enhance material performance
- Provide technical support during design and construction phases
- Collaborate with civil engineers architects and contractors to resolve material-related issues
- Monitor material usage and recommend cost-effective alternatives
- Manage and mentor team members supporting their professional growth
- Develop strong professional relationships with internal and external teams
- Review material submittals prepared by Material Engineers ensuring alignment with overall concept direction and project vision in accordance with Brand Standards/Guidelines
- Assist in reviewing commenting on and finalizing physical samples at every project stage
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines as required at each project stage
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Materials Science or related field (Masters preferred)
- Minimum 810 years of experience in materials engineering within civil/construction projects with prior team leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of ISO ASTM and other applicable material testing and compliance standards
- Proven experience in material testing failure analysis and technical report writing
- Familiarity with prototype development and sustainable/alternative material research
