Senior ELV Engineer
Job Summary
Position Overview
The Senior ELV Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing all Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems during the construction phase ensuring that installations are executed in accordance with the approved design project specifications authority requirements and industry best practices. The role requires extensive experience in theme parks themed entertainment destinations attractions immersive environments and interior design-focused developments where ELV systems play a critical role in guest experience operational functionality safety and show integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the construction and installation of all ELV systems ensuring compliance with approved IFC drawings specifications authority requirements and contract documents.
- Review contractor shop drawings material submittals method statements testing procedures and technical queries related to ELV systems.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate ELV works with architectural interior design theming MEP structural attraction vendors and specialist contractors.
- Supervise the implementation of security systems communications systems AV systems show-related systems and smart building technologies.
- Review and monitor the installation of integrated systems within themed environments show buildings attractions museums retail hospitality and entertainment facilities.
- Ensure proper coordination between ELV systems and themed elements to maintain the intended guest experience and operational requirements.
- Oversee the installation testing integration commissioning and handover of all ELV systems.
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) site acceptance tests (SAT) integrated systems testing (IST) and commissioning activities.
- Review and assess contractor proposals related to value engineering constructability and alternative technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve interface issues between ELV show systems attractions special effects systems and facility infrastructure.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and site observations.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical recommendations to the Client and project stakeholders.
- Support authority inspections approvals testing and project handover activities.

Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering Electrical Engineering Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or membership in a recognized engineering institution is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of post-graduate experience including at least 5 years in construction supervision consultancy roles.
- Proven experience in major entertainment hospitality leisure tourism or mixed-use developments.
- Strong experience in ELV system design review construction supervision testing commissioning and integration.
- Thorough understanding of UAE codes standards authority requirements and international ELV design practices.
- Excellent communication coordination report-writing and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit BIM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Information :
- Experience working on major projects in the UAE preferably Abu Dhabi.
- Thorough knowledge of UAE construction practices authority regulations and international building codes.
