Job Description
Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a research assistant. The Qatar Linguistic Map (QLM) is a 3-year project funded by QNRF.
We are seeking to hire part time research assistants to participate in the project;
• Follows research plans in order to collect, record and manipulate research data
• Maintains accurate and detailed research records.
Qualifications Required;
• Must be a native speaker of the Qatari dialect
• Linguistic skills should include awareness of grammar, syntax, and morphology of Arabic
• Previous relevant professional experience is a plus
• Comfortable with using computers
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks effectively according to the project requirements.
• Research and work on Arabic and dialectology is a major plus.
