We are looking for aService Engineer Propulsion Control Systems to handle installation commissioningdiagnostics and maintenance of advanced propulsion control and monitoring systems used in marine vessels.

Location - Dubai

What will you be doing:

  • Installation and Commissioning (New or retrofit) of Propulsion control system Tuning Troubleshooting and repairing of propulsion control systems (pitch load thrust joystick DP integration)
  • Perform onboard commissioning retrofits and periodic maintenance
  • Analyse system logs trends and alarms for performance tuning and fault diagnostics
  • Interface with clients shipyards and OEM partners professionally
  • Generate technical reports and service documentation

To be successful you will need the following:

  • Degree in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation or Automation Engineering.
  • Do you have minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marine automation/control systems
  • Strong understanding of Various types of Drive motor Starter panels (Auto transformer Soft Starter VFDs etc.) and electrical circuits.
  • Strong understanding of PLC HMI and fieldbus communication protocols (e.g. CAN bus Modbus Profibus)
  • Knowledge in Hydraulic system.
  • Hands-on experience with Electro/Hydraulic pitch control systems
  • Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels or offshore platforms

Education: Degree in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation or Automation Engineering

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Wärtsilä Engine controls systems
  • Excellent fault-finding and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated and safety-conscious
