• To provide key support, from an engineering perspective to the following functions.
• Management of the department’s contracts to ensure that various contractors are performing as per the terms and conditions of their respective contracts.
• Generation of various periodic monthly & yearly reports for the management, highlighting the performance of various units of the department.
• Preparation of department’s budget and monitoring of the spending to ensure that it stays within the approved budget.
• Study various sustainable energy options and recommend the use of such systems within QM.
• Preparation of Scope of Work for the various tenders, evaluation of the bids, award and the subsequent management of the contracts.
• Reviewing of invoices related to various contracts and generation of related job completion certificates for the purpose of scheduled payments.
• Control of various documents generated within the department.
• Generation of department’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs’) for a calendar year. Monitoring of such indicators to ensure that the department’s performance is up to the mark.
