1. Lead the team in the work scope carried out by Project Planners for the Confirmed Projects, Bidding Projects, document controllers for the Projects and Resource Planners for the Yard Manpower Resource Planning.
2. Liaise with project managers / commercial / trade managers / commercial for the project planning, bidding projects and resource planning requirements.
3. Develop man-hours analysis.
4. Provide various resource forecasts taking into account the future and current needs of project Management.
5. Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department
6. Provide input to short, medium and/or long term project plans, schedules, resources and project deadlines considering projects that may be scheduled concurrently.
7. Assist in developing project plan controls to mitigate the risk of incurring penalties, warranty repairs or other costs that involve substantial financial adversary.
8. Use benchmark assumptions and historical data to assist planning and arranging manpower capacities and allocations.
9. Monitor forecast against actual to ensure meeting customer requirement while considering alternative cost effective solutions.
10. Review and approve the Work Break Down structure as per Project requirement and maintain progress data.
11. Ensure engineering/procurement deliverable, construction schedule and trackers are prepared in line with the project, to monitor project progress.
12. Ensure micro plans and work schedules for key major activities are plotted properly by project planners and approve the same.
13. Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
14. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed on order to contribute to the continuous operations of the department.
