MEP Draughtsman
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and high-quality Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) drawings while coordinating closely with engineers architects and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings coordination drawings and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software ensuring compliance with project specifications local regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with architects structural engineers and MEP engineers to integrate building services seamlessly into the overall project design and resolve any design conflicts.
- Conduct site visits to collect field measurements verify existing conditions and ensure that drawings accurately reflect site requirements.
- Revise and update drawings based on client comments consultant feedback and project modifications while maintaining proper document control.
- Assist in the preparation of technical submissions and support project teams during design and construction phases.
- Ensure all drawings are completed accurately within project timelines and in accordance with quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth coordination and project execution.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative project environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Qualifications :
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in MEP drafting and coordination within construction infrastructure or building projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other relevant MEP drafting software with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
- Thorough understanding of MEP systems drafting standards construction methodologies and design coordination processes.
- Professional certifications or specialized training in HVAC Plumbing Electrical Systems or Building Services Design will be considered an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of applicable industry codes standards safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary project environment while meeting project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate efficiently with engineers architects consultants and site teams.
