Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Electrician to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. Your expertise in marine electrical systems and equipment will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine electrical systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in challenging environments. Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. • Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. • Diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions to repair or replace faulty components. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. • Collaborate with other members of the crew, including engineers and technicians, to troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems. • Assist in the installation and maintenance of navigation and communication systems. • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and protocols. • Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities. • Participate in training programs and stay updated on the latest developments in marine electrical systems. • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and environmental regulations. Preferred Candidate: • Prior experience as a Marine Electrician or similar role in the marine industry. • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC and DC circuits, generators, motors, and control panels. • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues. • Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring work is completed to the highest standards. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other crew members. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging environments, including confined spaces and at heights. • Valid electrical license/certification is preferred.
