- To coordinate with the departments in estimating the future demand for the major primary materials and other major components required for the projects and programs, aggregated across Project Affairs. Some of the key primary materials are: Gabbro, Bitumen, sand, fill material, steel, Polymer Modified Bitumen, asphalt, concrete, pipes, electrical cable of various voltages.
- To coordinate with the major suppliers and distributors to determine the capacity of the supplying industries, ports, storage facilities, haulage firms, shipping firms, distribution networks, set down areas, and the road network to respond to Ashghal’s needs.
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation issues etc.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
- Plan site set-up to move labour, plant, and materials around site efficiently (e.g. hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery and waste management strategy, catering)
