The Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC confidential Doha Qatar invites applications for AI & Data Engineer to join our technology & applied research department and work on cuttingedge AI projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities of the AI & Data Engineer include but not limited to:

• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand project requirements and define predictive or generative AI solutions.
• Design and develop machine learning models algorithms and neural networks for data analysis prediction and decisionmaking.
• Collect preprocess and analyze large datasets to train and validate AI models.
• Implement predictive and LLMbased AI solutions using programming languages (such as Python) and machine learning frameworks (such as PyTorch TensorFlow or scikitlearn).
• Optimize and finetune AI models for performance scalability and accuracy.
• Deploy AI models into production environments ensuring stability reliability and security.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models and iterate on improvements.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI capabilities into existing or new software systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in predictive/generative AI and machine learning research and apply relevant techniques to solve business challenges.
• Document and communicate AI solutions methodologies and best practices to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant should hold a Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science Applied Mathematics or a related field. He/she should have the following skills:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in data science / AI projects
• Very good knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering decision tree learning artificial neural networks etc.) and their realworld advantages/drawbacks
• Strong Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression properties of distributions statistical tests and proper usage etc.) and experience with applications
• Strong Knowledge of neutral networksbased architectures: CNN RNN GAN RL etc.
• Strong proficiency in NLP/LLM and the ability to implement NLP techniques effectively.
• Knowledge of Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch Tensorflow Keras etc.
• Previous experience in applying deep learning techniques for at least two different types of data (structured data text images videos speech/audio etc.) is an important asset
• Solid handson experience in development debugging and troubleshooting software and systems
• Previous experience with some data visualization frameworks and tools: Tableau D3.js Google charts etc.
• Very good Knowledge and experience in Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets and build data models
• Knowledge of geospatial analytics is desirable
• Prior industrial experience is an asset
• Capability to work autonomously and effectively in an asynchronous work environment.
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and create comprehensive and clear technical documentation.
