The Conservation Properties Program Supervisor, based in Warm Springs, will work on and supervise three biologists, mainly to the 34,000-acre Pine Creek Conservation Area, with some work on Willamette properties. Duties include vision for wildlife habitat uplift and long-term land management, perform and direct various habitat monitoring actions, project management, assist in writing management plans and other reporting, grant writing, contract solicitation and management, flora and fauna inventories, GIS, data collection, facilities management, and supervise and assist staff on management activities on the property. Must be comfortable working alone in remote settings. Must be able to withstand long periods of working in temperatures, at times in excess of 100F, hiking long distances in steep terrain, and performing strenuous duties such as heavy lifting. Requires frequent travel to properties in Clarno and Willamette basin. The work is exciting and the scenery is incredible!
Requires 2 years supervisory experience, Masters degree in wildlife biology, botany, or natural resources related field, and four years experience; OR Bachelors degree and six years professional experience related to position. Also requires valid drivers license, background check and drug screening.
