- The Industrial Hygienist contributes to the establishment of the project industrial hygiene management system, including hazard identification, exposure assessment and monitoring and health surveillance for Onshore, in-line with Project, HES policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
- Supports the investigation of occupational injuries and illnesses and communicable disease outbreaks.
- Ensures that project occupational health and hygiene management procedures are aligned with Project, and RLIC requirements as well as legal requirements of the State of Qatar.
- Reviews all occupational health and hygiene requirements (deliverables) for the EPC phase of the project in consideration of project requirements and regulatory bodies (e.g. MoPH, and Project and health and safety requirements).
- Ensures that Contractor complies with the project requirements including industrial hygiene, food and water safety, heat stress prevention, ergonomics and camp hygiene.
- Contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of communicable disease prevention and control plans.
- Participates in Contractor’s site and camp inspections and Company’s SHES audits.
- Prepares inspection, audit and monthly activity reports.
- Supports the development of a centralized database for heath surveillance of Similar Exposure Groups.
- Contributes to periodic injury and illness statistics and analysis, developing recommendations, and reporting to project management.
- Interfaces as key focal point between relevant health representatives including regulatory bodies, and CONTRACTOR(s).
- Reviews CONTRACTOR(s) industrial hygiene candidates to ensure they meet project requirements
