Welcoming guests is the primary role of a door attendant. Primarily in hotels, apartment complexes, and fine dining restaurants, door attendants open doors and greet guests with a smile. They even assist the guest with their belongings. Sometimes, they even provide initial refreshments such as water while guests are still fixing their bookings. They open vehicle doors or even haul taxis for the guest going out. As frontlines, they sometimes answer guests' queries about local attractions, and they provide directions.
