Black Pearl Consult is hiring an experienced Consultant Anaesthesiologist / Consultant Anaesthetist in the UAE joining a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide specialist anaesthesia care.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished anaesthesiologist to combine senior clinical practice with medical education postgraduate training research and clinical leadership within a sophisticated healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of safe evidence-based and patient-centred anaesthesia care while helping to develop the next generation of anaesthesia specialists.
The Consultant Anaesthesiologist will provide expert consultant-level anaesthesia care across a broad range of clinical services working closely with surgeons intensivists physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals.
The role will involve:
- Providing high-quality consultant-level anaesthesia and perioperative care.
- Undertaking comprehensive pre-operative assessment and optimisation of patients.
- Supporting safe anaesthetic management across elective and emergency procedures.
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Maintaining high standards of patient safety clinical governance and professional practice.
- Applying current evidence guidelines and best practice to clinical decision-making.
- Contributing to quality improvement clinical audit and service development.
- Supporting the development of clinical guidelines pathways and standards.
- Promoting an excellent patient experience throughout the perioperative journey.
A significant component of this position is postgraduate medical education and the development of anaesthesia trainees.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and strengthening of residency and postgraduate education including:
- Supporting or leading anaesthesia residency education.
- Contributing to curriculum development and educational strategy.
- Providing structured clinical and bedside teaching.
- Supervising and assessing residents and trainees.
- Mentoring residents trainees and colleagues.
- Supporting faculty development.
- Contributing to lectures teaching sessions workshops and other educational activities.
- Helping maintain a high-quality clinical learning environment.
- Promoting evidence-based learning and continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will also be encouraged to contribute to research and academic activity within the organisation.
This may include:
- Clinical research and scholarly projects.
- Peer-reviewed publications.
- Conference presentations and academic meetings.
- Clinical audit and quality improvement.
- Development and implementation of evidence-based guidelines.
- Clinical pathways and service improvement initiatives.
- Research involving patient safety perioperative care and anaesthesia practice.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology / Anaesthesia.
- Consultant-level clinical experience.
- Strong experience within a tertiary academic or teaching hospital environment.
- Demonstrable experience teaching doctors residents or other healthcare professionals.
- Experience contributing to postgraduate medical education or residency training.
- Evidence of research publications presentations or other scholarly activity.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance patient safety and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Strong clinical judgement and professional integrity.
- Commitment to evidence-based patient-centred care.
- A collaborative approach to leadership teaching and service development.
Experience within an international academic medical centre university hospital or major tertiary healthcare organisation would be advantageous.
UAE or GCC healthcare experience may be beneficial although internationally trained candidates with the appropriate qualifications and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
