BMS Design & Estimation Engineer

Responsible for reviewing tender documents and preparing accurate and competitive cost estimations technical proposals and BOQs for Building Management System (BMS) projects ensuring compliance with project specifications client requirements and industry standards.

• Review tender documents drawings specifications and BOQs related to BMS projects.

• Analyze project requirements for HVAC controls energy management and building automation systems.

• Clarify technical queries during the tender stage with consultants and clients.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for:

  • Controllers

  • Sensors

  • Actuators

  • Control panels

  • Cables and accessories

• Develop accurate cost estimations and pricing sheets based on project scope.

• Maintain standard costing sheets and estimation databases.

• Float inquiries and obtain quotations from approved suppliers and subcontractors.

• Evaluate and compare technical and commercial offers from vendors.

• Support procurement team in negotiation and finalization of pricing.

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals and complete bid submissions.

• Ensure compliance with client specifications and consultant requirements.

• Develop material submittals and compliance statements for tender documentation.

• Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project cost without compromising system performance or quality.

• Recommend cost-effective technical alternatives where applicable.

• Coordinate closely with Sales Design Procurement and Project Execution teams.

• Provide technical support during pre-award and post-bid discussions.

• Assist in contract finalization and handover to execution teams.

• Strong knowledge of BMS systems and HVAC controls

• Estimation and cost analysis expertise

• Tendering and proposal preparation skills

• Vendor management and negotiation ability

• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset

• Strong coordination and communication skills

• Relevant experience in BMS / ELV / HVAC Controls estimation preferred

• Experience in UAE/GCC projects will be an advantage
