Associate Director - Projects

Develop early work opportunities oneach project and as part of the overall delivery strategies ensurethat all opportunities to advance works on site have beenrealized Chair / facilitate Value Engineeringon projects at key milestones to ensure maximum value opportunitieshave been realized through the development process and the bestvalue for money achieved Manage/facilitate riskmanagement procedures and processes with the HSE manager inhousedesign team consultants and contracture to ensure that the clientis aware of all risks mitigated where possible or managed the riskso that any potential impact on the performance of our projects isminimal Coordinate with the project controldepartment and allocate staff on program change control and claimson each project Coordinate with the clientprocurement department on all commercial issues on each project toensure that due process and contractual obligations have beenfollowed and that the optimum retail outcome position isrealized Coordinate with Stakeholder managementto ensure effective and practical management of all Statutoryapprovals for each project Manage all clientenduser clients ensuring that they are fully informed of projectperformance and status with realtimereporting Ensure all client HSSE policies andprocedures are fully integrated into eachproject Take appropriate action on poorlyperforming projects Provided detailed reports on areas of concernimpact on the particular project and the mitigation strategyproposed for rectification of poorly performingtasks Closely monitor all potential changerequests ensuring they are escalated to the Executive Director anduploaded to the appropriate workflow streams for review andapproval Manage all project conflicts to ensurethat project performance is not hindered Ensurethat all weekly Fortnightly and Monthly reports are generated bythe consultants contractors and client internal project staff inrealtime and issued to the appropriate Executive Management at therequired times Oversee the quality control ofall elements within each allocated project including design mockupsand final construction Ensure overallresponsibility over their allocated project teams for the technicalperformance of the project ensuring design defects and constructiondefects are addressed effectively Take the leadrole in coordinating with all client teams that impact Projectperformance and ensure that all internal stakeholders areeffectively managed Their requirements (where possible) areincorporated within eachproject Qualifications Experience Knowledge andSkills Bachelor in Civil engineering or other Engineering fieldsto years of relevant experience Middle East Experience Abu Dhabi Experience Majorprogram /projects/infrastructure/buildingsexperience Project Management Business Reasoning Commercial Acumen Contract Management Cost Estimation Analysis Crisis Management Planning &Budgeting Managing Customers
