Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of architectural elements including walls drywall doors windows and other finishes to ensure compliance with building codes standards and project specifications.
  • Perform rigorous testing of materials and construction methods to verify quality and structural integrity.
  • Assess the need for field changes and communicate recommendations to project managers and architects.
  • Collaborate with contractors architects and other stakeholders to resolve change orders efficiently and effectively.
  • Execute comprehensive final site inspections ensuring all architectural elements meet required standards and project goals.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports including findings recommendations and photographic documentation.
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings blueprints and specifications to ensure on-site implementation aligns with design intent.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
  • Verify compliance with local state and federal building codes as well as ADA requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on inspection findings and discuss potential solutions to identified issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends new building materials and evolving construction techniques to maintain expertise in the field.
  • Mentor and train junior inspectors sharing knowledge and best practices in architectural inspection.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all inspections tests and communications related to each project.
  • Collaborate with other specialized inspectors (e.g. electrical plumbing) to ensure comprehensive quality control across all aspects of construction.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline such as Architecture or Architectural Engineering.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar or equivalent role.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of building construction materials systems and trade practices.
