For decades Boeing has had deep defense commercial and governmental relationships across the Middle recent years Boeing has begun to build its supply chain engagement in the region as it strives to address some nations aspirations in the aerospace sector. Across the region we see opportunities to expand our engagement and build our local presence while addressing industrial services and sustainment opportunities. While these near-term opportunities are compelling we are certain that there will be other ways the region will contribute to Boeings future competitiveness and success as we further articulate our vision for Boeings presence in the region.
To help us execute define our long-term visions for the region and to develop and maintain plans to achieve our near term and longer term objectives we are seeking a Strategy and Operations Specialist who will report to the Boeing presidents in those countries with the following responsibilities. This position is based in Dubai UAE.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Country Vision: Working with the Country Presidents and Managing Directors as well as Boeing Globals Director of Globalization Planning articulate an aspirational vision for Boeings operations in the key countries of the region. This must be based upon a deep understanding of regions capabilities needs and aspirations and how these add unique value to Boeings business units.
- Country Plan: Working with the Country Presidents and Managing Directors Boeing Globals Director of Globalization Planning and business unit and functional representatives develop and maintain plans for the key countries of the region that identify key near term objectives and actions required to achieve those objectives.
- Market Development: Work with business units and Boeing Globals Director of Globalization Initiatives to identify and create government or industry partnerships which expand Boeings presence in the region implement the Country Visions and/or support other business unit objectives.
- Government Funding: Collaborate with national/local government teams and strategic partners to unearth and capture government funding opportunities aligned with Boeings Country Vision and Plan.
- Business Support: Working with the Country Presidents support risk management and audit management processes and other duties as assigned.
- Regional Support: While the Middle East is the primary focus for this position the position is also responsible for supporting country Vision Plans and market development activities as assigned by the Globalization and Market Development team.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the following areas:
- Business and program development with a regional national or local government or a similar role in industry
- Experience in a position involving strategic planning market development and/or government relations preferably in a multinational company
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Arabic and English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse cross-functional environment
- Deep understanding of the business environments cultures and regulatory landscapes across the region.
- Strong project planning management and execution skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Masters Degree or MBA
- Familiarity with the regions aerospace industry and government policies related to the sector would be highly beneficial.
- Confident public speaker
Travel up to 30% will be required within the region to the USA as well as other possible locations.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable UAE law.
