Job Summary
The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring all project activities are carried out in compliance with health safety and environmental standards. The role supports the Project & HSE teams by implementing safety plans conducting inspections preventing incidents and promoting a strong safety culture across all construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the HSE Engineer include but are not limited to:
Implement and monitor HSE policies procedures and guidelines across project sites.
Carry out daily site inspections and identify potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with local regulations company standards and client safety requirements.
Investigate incidents prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct toolbox talks site inductions and safety training sessions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections permits audits and safety documentation.
Coordinate emergency response drills and HSE preparedness programs.
Support the project team in risk assessment and method statement review.
Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture within the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field.
Minimum 35 years of experience as an HSE Engineer in construction projects.
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to manage multiple project sites and work under pressure.
