Job Summary
To preserve and enhance the visual elegance of Fairmont Ajman through expert painting finishing and decorative maintenance. The Painter ensures all guest rooms public areas recreation facilities and backofhouse spaces reflect the immaculate presentation expected of a luxury Fairmont property. Through craftsmanship precision and a commitment to excellence this role supports the hotels aesthetic standards and contributes to an exceptional guest environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior painting of guest rooms public areas back-of-house and offices
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning sanding scraping filling cracks and applying primers
- Mix match and apply paints varnishes stains and coatings as required
- Carry out touch-ups and minor repairs to walls ceilings woodwork and metal surfaces
- Ensure all work is completed as per brand standards and maintenance schedules
- Protect furniture fixtures and floors during painting works
- Follow health safety and environmental procedures at all times
- Maintain tools equipment and painting materials in good condition
- Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to minimize disruption to operations
- Report any maintenance issues observed during work to the supervisor
Qualifications :
- Minimum 13 years of experience as a Painter (hotel or hospitality experience preferred)
- Basic knowledge of paints coatings tools and surface preparation techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to work at heights when required
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and use of PPE
