Job Title - Quantity Surveyor
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects ensuring effective cost control accurate budgeting and timely financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Planning & Estimation
Prepare detailed cost estimates budgets and bills of quantities (BOQs).
Analyze drawings specifications and contract documents to determine project costs.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Contract & Commercial Management
Assist in preparation review and administration of contracts and subcontracts.
Evaluate variations claims and change orders in coordination with project teams.
Support negotiation and finalization of contractor and supplier agreements.
Procurement & Payments
Coordinate with procurement teams for material pricing and supplier evaluations.
Review and certify interim and final payment applications.
Track commitments variations and cash flow forecasts.
Project Cost Control & Reporting
Maintain accurate cost records and financial reports.
Prepare monthly cost reports highlighting budget status and variances.
Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support project decisions.
Coordination & Compliance
Liaise with engineers consultants and site teams to ensure commercial alignment.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms company policies and industry standards.
Support project close-out activities and final account settlements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or a related field.
37 years of experience in construction and engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of BOQs cost estimation and contract administration.
Experience with residential commercial or infrastructure projects preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and cost control
Proficiency in MS Excel and cost management tools
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
