Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to join a leading real estate development organisation in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with developers or main contractors and a strong background in strategic sourcing negotiations and contract finalisation across major construction packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing quality and delivery timelines
- Manage procurement and contract finalisation for PS items including:
- Enabling Contractors
- Elevator Contractors
- MEP Contractors
- Aluminium & Glazing Contractors
- Swimming Pool Contractors
- Joinery Contractors
- Handle the full procurement lifecycle from Material Requests (MRs) / BOQs through to final delivery or service completion on site
- Conduct strategic sourcing and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Plan and manage procurement schedules delivery methods and budgets to ensure timely project execution
- Coordinate closely with Design and Project teams to align procurement activities with project timelines
- Collect assess and share supplier qualification and performance data
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly procurement performance reports
Requirements
- Minimum 45 years experience on high-rise building projects in the UAE
- Prior experience working with developers or main contractors is essential
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge within construction and real estate procurement
- Excellent negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in cost management data analysis and procurement reporting
- Experience using procurement software and ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple packages and prioritise under pressure
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Contract management and supplier performance evaluation
- Relationship-building with vendors and subcontractors
