The
Subcontract Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating subcontractors and subcontract works across Saipem projects ensuring that all contracted work is delivered
safely on time and compliant with technical and quality standards with a focus on EPCI Offshore (marine and fleets) execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the main interface between internal departments project management clients and subcontractors.
Review evaluate and assess subcontractor proposals technical documentation and work plans to ensure they meet project requirements.
Conduct cost analysis scenario evaluations and benchmarking of services and materials to be procured.
Maintain accurate records of contracts change orders progress reports and all subcontract documentation.
Lead negotiations with subcontractors to secure optimal terms and delivery timelines.
Plan and determine scheduling and coordination of deliveries and subcontractor activities
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering commonly Marine or Mechanical (or related) discipline.
Minimum 10 years of procurement/subcontract experience particularly within offshore EPCI (Engineering Procurement Construction & Installation) project environments.
Proven background in cost evaluation contract negotiation and vendor management.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Capability to manage complex subcontractor schedules and technical requirements.
Experience with offshore operations/contracts is highly beneficial.
