The Lead Technical Architect is responsible for overseeing the technical development of architectural projects ensuring compliance with local authority submission requirements and aligning designs with project goals. This role involves managing technical documentation resolving design challenges and coordinating with consultants contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality constructible designs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical development of projects across all design stages with a focus on authority submission and compliance.
- Review and approve detailed design drawings ensuring accuracy and constructability.
- Coordinate technical aspects with consultants contractors and internal teams to resolve design and construction
challenges.
- Ensure all technical documentation adheres to local authority codes and standards.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of major international codes and standards (e.g. IBC NFPA ASHRAE LEED etc.) ensuring technical documentation meets global compliance requirements where applicable.
- Manage and mentor technical design teams to meet project objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews to maintain design quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with HOD to align with targets and design compliance
- Ensure Design comply with the Concept design intent
Educational Qualification:
Bachelors or Masters degree in architecture or a related field.
Experience:
Role Specific Qualifications & Training:
- Certification in BIM workflows preferred.
- Dubai Municipality Registration preferred.
Experience in large-scale and complex architectural projects
Behavioural Competencies:
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Adaptability and problem-solving under pressure.
