Job Summary
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of a Joinery Draftsman is to create detailed technical drawings and plans for joinery projects ensuring that all designs meet project specifications industry standards and client requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings for various projects including residential commercial.
- Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers architects and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
- Revise drawings as needed based on feedback and changes in project scope.
- Prepare material take-offs and assist in the preparation of bill of materials.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements and understand site conditions.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accuracy and quality of the joinery items.
- Maintain and update drawing files and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of design presentations and client meetings.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman in the Gulf countries.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other relevant drafting software.
- Strong understanding of joinery construction methods and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the UAE.
