Job Summary

Job Title: Pastry Chef
Location: United Arab Emirates

About the Role
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries desserts and baked goods while maintaining consistency creativity and food safety standards. This role requires hands-on expertise in pastry production recipe execution and kitchen operations within a bakery or food & beverage environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pastry Production & Quality Control
Prepare a wide range of pastries desserts cakes viennoiseries and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure consistency in taste texture and presentation across all products.
Develop and refine recipes while maintaining portion control and minimizing wastage.
Kitchen Operations & Hygiene
Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and food safety in compliance with HACCP regulations.
Monitor storage labeling and shelf life of ingredients and finished products.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Menu Development & Innovation
Contribute to new product development and seasonal menu planning.
Stay updated with current pastry trends techniques and customer preferences.
Assist in costing pricing and ingredient selection to optimize margins.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and pastry supplies.
Coordinate with procurement or store teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
Control food costs by reducing waste and optimizing production planning.
Team Collaboration & Training
Support and guide junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
Work closely with bakery kitchen and service teams to meet daily production and sales requirements.
Ensure smooth coordination during peak production periods.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts Culinary Arts or related field.
36 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Cook in a bakery café or F&B environment.
Strong hands-on experience in cakes desserts viennoiserie and plated pastries.
Knowledge of food safety hygiene and HACCP standards.
