Job Summary
on-site Position: Wellsite Geologist Company Overview: Star Services LLC is a leading provider of oil and gas services offering a wide range of solutions to the energy industry. We are committed to providing a safe efficient and sustainable work environment for our employees. Contract Details: This is a full-time on-site position. The successful candidate will be working on a rotational schedule typically 14 days on and 14 days off at various wellsite locations. Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellsite Geologist to join our team. The Wellsite Geologist will be responsible for providing geological support and expertise at various wellsite locations. This individual will work closely with drilling and completion teams to ensure successful well operations and accurate data collection. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and analyze drilling operations including cuttings core and fluid samples. - Identify potential drilling hazards and provide recommendations to mitigate risks. - Interpret geological data and provide real-time updates to drilling and completion teams. - Collaborate with other geologists and engineers to optimize drilling plans and improve well performance. - Conduct geological mapping and create well logs to document drilling progress. - Ensure accurate data collection and reporting adhering to company and regulatory standards. - Participate in pre-spud meetings and provide geological input for well planning. - Conduct site visits and perform geological surveys to identify potential drilling locations. - Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve processes and procedures. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Geology Geosciences or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Wellsite Geologist in the oil and gas industry. - Strong knowledge of drilling operations geology and wellsite data collection. - Proficient in geological software and data management systems. - Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing priorities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. - Willingness to work on a rotational schedule and travel to various wellsite locations.
