About the Role
You will be responsible for planning designing and supervising construction projects from conception through completion. This role requires strong technical knowledge attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with teams across engineering sites and project management. You will ensure that engineering standards safety protocols and quality requirements are met throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Design
Develop detailed civil engineering designs drawings and specifications based on project requirements.
Conduct site assessments feasibility studies and technical evaluations for construction projects.
Collaborate with architects and design teams to ensure structural integrity and compliance with engineering standards.
Construction Supervision & Execution
Oversee day-to-day site activities to ensure quality safety and progress align with project plans.
Monitor construction processes materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Address technical challenges and provide engineering solutions in real time.
Project Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with project managers subcontractors consultants and stakeholders to align on deliverables.
Communicate project status risks and changes to senior management or project leads.
Attend site meetings to review progress resolve issues and support decision making.
Quality Control & Assurance
Conduct inspections tests and quality checks on construction work and materials.
Ensure that all engineering processes meet industry standards local codes and client expectations.
Prepare and maintain documentation for quality control approvals and regulatory compliance.
Health Safety & Compliance
Implement monitor and enforce safety procedures and policies on construction sites.
Ensure compliance with local building codes environmental regulations and safety standards.
Report safety incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Cost & Resource Management
Assist in developing project budgets cost estimates and resource plans.
Track project expenses and monitor resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
Suggest value-engineering improvements to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare engineering reports progress reports technical specifications and as-built drawings.
Maintain accurate records of site activities materials used and test results.
Submit periodic updates and documentation to project leads and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
37 years of experience in civil engineering construction supervision or related roles.
Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D STAAD Pro or similar).
Strong understanding of construction methods materials and structural principles.
Familiarity with local building codes safety regulations and permitting processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on multifaceted projects.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Professional engineering certification (if applicable) is a plus.
