The Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical engineering aspects of energy and water projects. This role supports planning design and construction activities ensuring compliance with project specifications industry standards and HSSE requirements while contributing to safe timely and high-quality project delivery.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Project Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and review electrical engineering project plans.
- Ensure all electrical engineering activities align with project objectives schedules and technical requirements.
Design Review & Technical Assurance
- Review electrical design documents prepared by the EPC contractor and participate in design review meetings.
- Evaluate third-party special studies and provide comments and recommendations.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet project specifications standards and regulatory requirements.
Equipment Selection & Procurement Support
- Assist in identifying and selecting suitable electrical equipment and materials based on project needs.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality cost-effective components.
Construction Oversight
- Oversee electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
- Work closely with construction teams to resolve on-site technical issues and engineering challenges.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for electrical systems and components.
- Conduct inspections to verify adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
Cost & Budget Control
- Work with project managers and cost engineers to prepare and manage electrical engineering budgets.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure electrical activities remain within approved cost limits.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of electrical engineering activities design changes and site issues.
- Prepare regular progress reports highlighting risks issues accomplishments and upcoming activities.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the liaison between electrical engineering project management EPC teams and other stakeholders.
- Provide timely updates to senior management on progress challenges and key observations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5-7 years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in power generation (CCGT) or EPC projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles practices and international standards.
- Excellent project management coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams
