Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Waiter to join our upscale dining establishment in the heart of Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Senior Waiter you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our discerning guests while leading and mentoring our service team.
- Provide outstanding customer service ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Lead and mentor junior wait staff setting high standards for service excellence
- Take and process guest orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of our menu including ingredients preparation methods and wine pairings
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience and increase revenue
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy and efficiency
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
- Assist in training new team members on service procedures and standards
- Adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced luxury dining environment
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants
- Previous leadership experience as a head waiter or team lead
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and supportive demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of food service international cuisine and dining etiquette
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Extensive wine and beverage knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills for handling financial transactions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food safety certification (preferred)
- Wine certification such as Sommelier certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards
- Flexibility to work in different locations within Dubai as needed
